Canada was honoured to host the The 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup with games taking place at BC Place in our very own beautiful city, Vancouver. This was the seventh FIFA Women's World Cup, the quadrennial international women's football world championship tournament. We had the amazing opportunity to work on this HUGE project with them. BC place was the largest venue involved in the event and we helped print, install and remove most of their print projects. Games had over 54,000 people in attendance and seen on TV stations worldwide. What a great experience it was to work on the event!
We printed, installed and removed all the exterior print on the windows at BC Place. Giant one way vision prints were put up for the tournament.
We installed UV direct substrate printing on the inside of BC Place and completed all the print and install for all of the concessions on level 200 and 400.
We were able to suggest materials, and installation methods that would not cause any damage to the venue.
Check out the giant 30ft wide mural we did for the scoreboard. We were happy to suit up Canada's 2nd largest centerpiece!
We also printed and installed the locker headers for FIFA in the BC Lions and Vancouver Whitecaps locker rooms.
What a ride this was! A LOT of hours and hard work went into making this project the best it could be for our clients. We are so thankful for the opportunity and would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Even though Canada's team didn't make it into the finals it was still an awesome tournament that our great country and city had the pleasure of hosting. The final game at BC Place was a great one! We are happy that we got to be a part of it.
We recently did some work for the University of British Columbia's Consent campaign on raising awareness to prevent attacks on campus. Check out their website for full info on this campaign as there is a lot of information available on it. Check out this direct link for more information - http://students.ubc.ca/livewell/topics/sexual-assault/consent
We printed onto cement, sidewalks, brick walls and other textured surfaces using non-slip overlaminate. You can find these at their Vancouver campus.
This is a great campaign to create awareness in and around UBC campus due to the many attacks that have already taken place.
Big ups to our friends over at Fortune Sound Club for the shout out in this article about their redesign of the Livestock Room. Go check out the Livestock Room Reopening Party tonight at Fortune (located in Chinatown, Vancouver BC) if you can. It will be a banger! As always we were stoked to work on this project with them and get it all done the way they wanted on the material they wanted AND within their budget!
Check out a sneak peak on their blog
