The Vision: Modern Elegance Meets Tradition - MaxMara

Celebrating the Lunar New Year is all about tradition, vibrancy, and a fresh start—values that MaxMara perfectly mirrors in its seasonal collections. To bring this festive spirit to life for 2026 (The Year of the Horse), Blast Media recently executed a high-impact retail rollout featuring custom cut vinyl displays across three of Vancouver’s most iconic shopping destinations.

Here’s a look at how we helped MaxMara usher in the New Year at Metrotown, Pacific Centre, and Granville Street.

The Vision: Modern Elegance Meets Tradition

Retail window displays are more than just advertisements; they are the first handshake between a brand and the public. For MaxMara’s Lunar New Year campaign, the goal was to blend the brand’s sophisticated Italian tailoring with the energetic symbolism of the Year of the Horse.

Precise Craftsmanship with Cut Vinyl

Unlike standard posters, cut vinyl (often called RTA or "Ready to Apply" vinyl) allows for a clean, "painted-on" look. By plotter-cutting the vinyl into intricate shapes and letters, we can apply graphics directly to the glass without any visible background or borders.

For MaxMara, this meant:

  • Vibrant Red Tones: Utilizing the traditional auspicious red that defines the season.

  • Intricate Motifs: Sharp, clean lines that captured the fluid equestrian designs of the 2026 collection.

  • Seamless Integration: Ensuring the graphics framed the mannequins and luxury coats without obstructing the view of the store interior.

Three Locations, One Unified Look

A successful retail rollout requires absolute consistency. Our installation teams coordinated across the city to ensure the MaxMara brand stayed "on-brand" at every stop.

1. Metropolis at Metrotown

In one of Canada's busiest malls, the display needed to pop against the high-traffic backdrop. The cut vinyl provided a high-contrast pop that caught the eye of thousands of shoppers from every angle.

2. CF Pacific Centre

The heart of downtown luxury. Here, the installation required a delicate touch to match the high-end aesthetic of the mall. The crisp finish of the vinyl complemented the store’s polished glass and lighting, creating a high-fashion "gallery" feel.

3. Granville Street

The flagship vibes of Granville Street demand bold statements. The street-facing windows used durable, UV-resistant vinyl to ensure the Lunar New Year graphics remained vibrant and bubble-free, even through the unpredictable Vancouver winter weather.

Why Retailers Choose Blast Media for Seasonal Rollouts

Timing is everything in retail. For Lunar New Year, the window of opportunity is tight. Our team specialized in:

  • Rapid Turnaround: From final file to finished install.

  • Clean Removal: Using high-quality removable vinyl that leaves zero residue when the season changes.

  • Expert Installation: Avoiding the bubbles and misalignments that can distract from a luxury product.

"The window graphics are removable vinyl, designed for high-impact seasonal campaigns that need to look permanent but can be updated in a flash."
