Wrapping Up Another Fiscal Year: Celebrating Growth, Community, and the Best Crew on the Planet

Last weekend, the Blast Media Print team gathered to celebrate the end of another incredible fiscal year with our annual team party. A massive thank you to Geri Pagal for organizing a fantastic pirate ship cruise around False Creek! It was the absolute perfect way to unwind, connect, and celebrate everything our team has accomplished together over the past twelve months.

While the scenery, food, and drinks made for a great afternoon, the real highlight of the day was the stories.

One by one, team members grabbed the official "pirate sword" to share their journey—how they found their way to Blast, what they’re most grateful for, and what this team means to them. Hearing everyone reflect on their personal growth, the tight-knit friendships formed in the shop, and their genuine excitement to come to work every day served as a powerful reminder of what makes Blast Media Print truly special.

From Humble Beginnings to Big Milestones

Looking back at where we started, the journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

When Blast was founded in 2009, it started from scratch. In 2014, Allan and his brother Quinn joined forces to build something bigger. Fast forward to today, and the milestones achieved this past fiscal year alone are beyond what we could have imagined back then:

• 3,000+ Retailers: Printing and installing graphics for over 3,000 chain retail locations across Canada and the United States.

• 5 World-Class Stadiums in 39 Days: Simultaneously servicing five major venues across five different cities continent-wide during our busiest stretch of the year.

• NHL & Pro Sports Partnerships: Servicing all three NHL hockey teams in California, along with sponsoring over a dozen professional sports franchises across the NHL, AHL, MLS, CFL, PWHL, NSL, and NLL.

• Guinness World Records: Officially breaking a Guinness World Record for our large-scale print work.

• Expansion: Continuing to build out our shop operations in California while securing our permanent home in East Vancouver.

Driven by People, Not Just Numbers

While the numbers, growth, and record-breaking projects are exciting, what makes us proudest isn't just the scale of the work—it’s the crew that makes it happen.

None of these milestones are possible without a team that cares deeply about getting things done right. It’s the people who step up during rush jobs, troubleshoot complex installs, challenge each other to raise the bar, and always have each other's backs.

At Blast, taking care of our team is our top priority. As we grow, our commitment remains the same: to support, invest in, and empower the incredible individuals who make this company what it is.
