Throwing It Back to ’86: Vancouver Whitecaps FC Launch Retro Archive Kit
Vancouver Whitecaps FC brought serious ’80s energy to BC Place on Wednesday night, debuting their brand-new 86ers-inspired Archive Kit. The special uniform pays tribute to 40 years of local soccer history, marking the milestone since the iconic Vancouver 86ers first hit the pitch.
To help kick off the celebration, the Blast Media Print team got in on the throwback action. We produced retro knitted headbands for the first 2,000 fans who walked through the gates, giving the supporters section a proper ’80s look from the moment the doors opened.
There’s nothing quite like seeing Vancouver sports history brought back to life—and we loved playing a small part in making history feel current again.
